Three people die of ‘alcohol poisoning’ in Jhenaidah
Three people have been killed and two others have been hospitalised due to alcohol poisoning in Jhenaidah’s Kaliganj.

The three died on Thursday and Friday night, said Kaliganj Police Station OC Md Yunus Ali.
The deceased have been identified as Kaliganj residents Biswas Bappi, Munna Das and Shuvankar Mitra Tito.
“On Thursday night a group bought and drank alcohol from Kotchandpur. They returned home to Kaliganj and fell sick. They were admitted to the local upazila health complex, where Bappi died.”
“Munna and Tito were transferred to Jessore Sadar Hospital after their condition deteriorated. They died there on Friday night while undergoing treatment.”
Two others are still undergoing care at the Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex.
