Three of a family die as truck overturns in Tangail
Three members of a family have been killed and four others were injured after a truck overturned in Tangail’s Mirzapur Upazila.

The accident took place at the Upazila’s Shuvollya area on the Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge Highway around 2:30am on Tuesday.
The dead have been identified as Niranjan Mali, 32, his wife Sagari Mali, 25, and their six-year-old daughter Swarna.
“A truck carrying tiles was heading to Joypurhat from Gazipur while its driver lost control of the vehicle in Shuvollya area,” said Md Matiur Rahman, sub-inspector of Mirzapur Gorai Highway Police Station.
“The truck overturned on the highway. The three people who were riding the truck as passengers along with others were trapped under the pile of tiles and died on the spot.”
The injured have received first aid after being taken to Kumudini Hospital in Mirzapur, Sub-Inspector Matiur said.
“The bodies were taken to Gorai Highway Police Station,” OC AKM Kawser said adding that the driver and his assistant fled after the incident.
