A car driver has been killed after being hit by a car of an MP’s wife while waiting for transport after work at Mohakhali in Dhaka.
The deceased has been identified as Selim Bepari, 55, an employee of a private firm at Mohakhali.
The car that hit him on Airport Road on Tuesday night belongs to Awami League MP Mohammed Ekramul Karim Chowdhury's wife Kamrun Nahar Shiule.

The witness said that rider chased Shabab to the NAM Bhaban. He added the motorcyclist claimed Shabab was driving the car when it hit Selim.
Shiule, the chairperson of Kabirhat Upazila Council in Noakhali, admitted that the car belonged to her, but denied reports that Shabab was driving it.
She told bdnews24.com on Wednesday their chauffeur Nurul Alam was behind the wheels on Tuesday night.
She, however, said they did not know where Nurul was now.
Selim’s son-in-law Ariful Islam Bhuiyan has started a case naming unidentified people at Kafrul Police Station.
Sub-Inspector Nasir Uddin said they found a number plate of the car but were yet to identify the owner.
Selim’s daughter Sadia Akter Tamanna said her father was scheduled to visit her at Ariful’s home at Uttarkhan after work on Tuesday.
Ariful said Selim was waiting for a transport when Sheuli’s car hit him.
Selim, hailing from Barishal, lived with his wife China Bepari and a 7-year-old son at Uttarkhan.
