16-year-old hacked to death in Sylhet
A 16-year-old boy has been murdered by unknown youths in Sylhet, police said.

The deceased has been identified as Mashiur Rahman Tahmin, an 11th grade student of the local Scholarshome College, and was a resident of the Sonarpara area.
A group of youths attacked Tahmin with sharp weapons in the Shibganj neighbourhood around 10:30pm on Friday night, said Akhtar Hossain, chief of the Shah Poran Police Station.
He was rushed to Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital, where the doctors declared him dead, the OC said.
“An initial investigation suggests a dispute between local youths was the motive for the murder”, he said, adding that a suspected youth was detained over the murder.
