35 is maximum age to enter teaching job as govt issues MPO guidelines
The government has issued guidelines for appointment and transfer of jobs at private schools and colleges, and institutions under the MPO programme, fixing maximum age for entering teaching at 35 years.

Previously, eligible people had been able to enter the teaching profession at private schools and colleges at any age.
The government published the guidelines on the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education website on Thursday.
It has also kept provisions for transfer of teachers under monthly pay order or MPO programme from one institution to another.
