Moon-Sighting Committee to decide Eid-ul-Fitr day on Friday
The National Moon-Sighting Committee will sit on Friday to decide the Eid-ul-Fitr day.

The committee will review reports of sighting of the moon for the month of Shawwal on Islamic calendar at the Islamic Foundation in the evening.
Committee head Religious Affairs Minister Matior Rahman will chair the meeting, the foundation said in a statement on Wednesday.
It requested the people to inform the committee if the moon is sighted by dialling 9559493, 9559643, 9555947, 9556407 and 9558337 or sending fax to 9563397 and 9555951.
The public holidays for the Eid are fixed on next Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
But the Eid holidays will be extended by a day to next Monday if Ramadan lasts 30 days.
