Two die as pickup van overturns in Magura
Two people, including a driver, have been killed and two others injured after a pickup van overturned in in Magura’s Sadar Upazila.

The accident took place on the Magura-Jhenaidah road in the Abalpur area around 10am on Saturday, said Taijul Islam, sub-inspector of Sadar Police Station.
The dead have been identified as 35-year-old Nur Islam, the driver of the pickup van and 40-year-old Mamun, a brick worker. They hailed from the upazila’s Jagla and Soluapara villages.
Sub-Inspector Taijul told bdnews24.com that the workers were going to Ichakhada brick kiln from Jagla area on a wood-loaded pickup van.
“It veered off the road and overturned after the driver lost control in the Abalpur area. Driver Nur Islam was killed on the spot. Three were rushed to the hospital with injuries, where Mamun died soon after.”
The other victims are undergoing treatment at hospital, he added.
