Rape suspect dies in Feni ‘shootout’
A man accused in six criminal cases has died in a shootout with police in Feni.

The shootout took place in Daganbhuiyan Upazila’s Khushipur village early Wednesday, said local police station chief Abul Kalam Azad.
The deceased has been identified as Musa Al Masum, a fugitive accused of raping a physically challenged woman in Feni.
Police arrested Musa and took him along in a raid in Khusipur village. His accomplices opened fire on the police, forcing them to retaliate. Musa died on the spot while four police personnel were injured during the gunfight.
A shotgun and six rounds of ammunition were recovered from the scene. Musa was named in six cases including robbery, rape and murder, according to the police.
