Madaripur District and Sessions Judge Sharif Uddin Ahmed announced the verdict on Monday.

The convicts are Sohel’s uncles Khalek Howladar, Mizanur Howladar and Shahin Howladar and his step-brother Al-Amin Khan.

All of the convicts are absconding, said Madaripur Court Public Prosecutor Emran Latif.

According to the case dossier, Sohel ran a clothing store at a local bazaar and lived with one of his uncles.

“A feud over property developed between Sohel, his three uncles and his step-brother. On the night of Aug 8, 2013 they hacked Sohel to death.”

Sohel’s father filed a case against the four the next day.

Police submitted the charge sheet against the four convicts on Jul 17, 2014.
