India condoles US-Bangla aircraft crash, offers assistance

India’s external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj has expressed deepest condolences for the loss of lives in the crash of a US-Bangla aircraft in Kathmandu.

She has spoken to her Bangladesh counterpart AH Mahmood Ali, now in Singapore with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

"EAM @SushmaSwaraj spoke to #ForeignMinister Bangladesh currently in Singapore & expressed deepest condolences to Hon'ble PM Sheikh Hasina and People of Bangladesh for the loss of lives in crash of #USBangla Airlines at #Kathmandu today," tweeted the Indian High Commission in Dhaka. 

She also offered any assistance required in Kathmandu and shared thoughts and prayers for those injured and with people of Bangladesh, it said in another tweet.
