A Biman Bangladesh flight carrying the prime minister left the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh at 1:45pm local time.
The prime minister was seen off by Cambodian Women’s Affairs Minister Ingkantha Phavi, Cambodian Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation EAT Sophea, Bangladesh diplomat in charge of Cambodia Saida Muna Tasneem and Cambodia’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Bangladesh Pichkhun Panha.
The flight landed at Dhaka’s Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around4:30pm.
Hasina arrived in Phnom Penh on Sunday and paid her respects to Cambodia’s Independence Memorial and placed flowers before a statue of the late King Norodom Sihanouk. She also toured the Cambodian Genocide Museum.
She then attended a dinner at the Bangladesh Embassy in Cambodia and met with Bangladeshi expatriates.
The two prime ministers then issued a joint statement calling for taking the relationships between the two countries to a new level.
Hasina paid a courtesy call to King Norodom Sihamoni later that day. She also took part in a meeting organised by the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. She had dinner with Prime Minister Hun Sen.
National Assembly of Cambodia President Heng Samrin and FUNCINPEC Party President Norodom Ranariddh met with the prime minister at her hotel during the trip.
Hasina was also accompanied by her sister Sheikh Rehana, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon and State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak.
