Police have detained five suspected operatives of the Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh or JMB in the northern district of Naogaon.

On a tip off that some militants had gathered for a secret meeting, police raided Naoduli Bazar area in the Attrai upazila early on Thursday, said Superintendent of Police Md Iqbal Hossain.
Five of them were picked from the house of Abdullah, an active member of the banned outfit, said the SP.
Two pistols, ammunition and bomb making materials were seized from their possession, he added.
Police have identified those detained as Moazzem Hossain Bullet, 30, Lulu Sarder, 30, Abdullah, 42, Abdur Razzaque, 25, and Masud Rana, 25.
They were being interrogated, said SP Hossain.
