Lalpur college teacher shot dead in broad daylight

Miscreants have shot dead a college teacher in Natore.

Lalpur police OC Abu Obayed said, Mosharraf Hossain 35, was killed when he was returning home from work on his motorbike on Thursday.

The incident took place near the Tin Khuti intersection on the Lalpur-Bagha highway.

They then fled the scene with his bike, the OC said.

Son of Rajshahi's Bagha Upazila's Pirgacha villager Mohammed Ali, Mosharaf was a lecturer of Bengali at the Moharkeyar Degree College at Lalpur.

OC Obayed said, "Mosharaf was returning home from college on his bike. Miscreants tried to stop him near Tin Khoti turning. When he did not stop, they opened fire."

When he fell down on the ground, his attackers fled with his bike.

Locals then rushed him to the Bagha Upazila Healthcare Complex where doctors declared him dead, the OC said.

According to doctors, Mosharraf was hit by three bullets.

OC Obayed said that preliminary findings of the police hint that snatchers shot at Mosharaf.
