Donatella Versace has launched a new label in partnership with US retailer Revolve, marking a new chapter about 18 months after she left Versace as its creative director, according to FashionNetwork.

Donatella will serve as chief creative officer, leading the new company's creative vision and defining its identity, products, partnerships and wider cultural direction, the report added.

Revolve will support the venture through its e-commerce, technology, consumer intelligence, operations, marketing and community capabilities. The brand's name and creative vision will be unveiled in the coming months, with its first launch set to focus on beauty.

“I believe creativity should be bold, inclusive, and alive in the world,” Donatella disclosed, according to FashionNetwork. She has said the partnership will give her the freedom to connect with a new generation through beauty and fashion.

“Culture stems from connection,” she added, saying the venture will create a new voice, look and energy.

FashionNetwork also quoted Revolve Group co-founder and co-CEO Mike Karanikolas as saying the partnership will combine Donatella's creative authority with the retailer's technology, infrastructure and global reach.

Donatella became Versace's creative director in 1997 after the death of her brother, Gianni Versace. She had previously worked behind the scenes with him and launched the Versus line in 1989, FashionNetwork has reported.

The Versace family sold the brand to Michael Kors' parent company, later renamed Capri Holdings, for $2.1 billion in 2018.

In 2025, Prada Group acquired Versace from Capri Holdings for €1.25 billion.
