Iran's semi-official Mehr news agency has released a rare video of Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei on the social media platform Telegram, according to Xinhua.
In the footage released on Saturday, Mojtaba Khamenei is seen surrounded by several individuals and appears to be speaking to those around him.
The Mehr report, however, did not disclose when or where the video was filmed, nor did it identify the individuals accompanying him.
The video publication follows the joint US and Israeli strikes on Tehran and other Iranian cities on Feb 28, which resulted in the death of former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, alongside senior military commanders and civilians.
In response, Iran launched waves of missile and drone strikes targeting US and Israeli military assets across the region.
Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ali Khamenei, was subsequently appointed as Iran's new supreme leader by the Assembly of Experts in early March.
