A Republican congressman has named Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor as an alleged "co-conspirator" of paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein on the floor of the US House of Representatives, demanding the former prince be investigated and prosecuted for sex crimes committed on American soil.
Thomas Massie, a Republican representative from Kentucky, made the accusation during a speech on Tuesday calling for accountability over the Epstein files, reports The Independent.
"We want perpetrators of these crimes to be investigated and prosecuted," Massie told the chamber.
"Prince Andrew committed sex crimes in the United States. Perhaps hearing these names will shame the Department of Justice into delivering justice."
Massie was calling for a second Epstein Files Transparency Act, claiming that Trump's administration "continues to withhold over three million files."
He argued their release would bring accountability to the Department of Justice and "closure for survivors."
Others named on Massie's list included former Barclays chief executive Jes Staley and magician David Copperfield.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, has repeatedly denied committing any sex offence or wrongdoing.
The late Virginia Giuffre had alleged he sexually assaulted her as a teenager after being trafficked by Epstein.
He paid her a settlement in 2022 without admitting any liability, and continued to deny ever having met her.
In February, he was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office after files released by the US Department of Justice appeared to show he had shared sensitive government documents and commercial information with Epstein while serving as trade envoy.
He was released under investigation the same day. He denies any wrongdoing.
The former prince was stripped of his royal titles in October last year amid mounting scrutiny over his Epstein ties.
Epstein was found dead in his cell at a federal jail in Manhattan in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
His death was ruled a suicide.
His accomplice, British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, is serving a 20-year sentence in the US for luring young girls for Epstein to abuse.
