Kazi Salahuddin has secured another term as president of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), extending his stewardship of the region's football governing body since 2009.

The Bangladeshi football legend sailed through unopposed at SAFF's congress in Bhutan's capital Thimphu on Saturday.

SAFF's constitution had previously barred anyone over 70 from holding office, but the clause was scrapped in a constitutional overhaul last year, all but cementing Salahuddin's return.

The draw for the forthcoming SAFF Championship will also be held later on Saturday, with the tournament set to run in Dhaka from Nov 4-17.
