Saka ruled out, Odegaard doubtful for Arsenal’s trip to Liverpool

The 23-year-old English international faces up to four weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring problem

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka will miss next week's Premier League clash at Liverpool and England's upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia due to a hamstring injury.

Gunners skipper Martin Odegaard is also doubtful for the Anfield trip after a shoulder issue.

Saka sustained the injury during Saturday's 5-0 home victory over Leeds United and faces up to four weeks on the sidelines, BBC Sport reports.

The setback echoes last season's three-month absence due to a similar hamstring problem, but Arsenal is relieved that the issue was not long-term.

In the same match, Odegaard was substituted in the first half, leaving the Emirates Stadium with his shoulder in a sling.

The 26-year-old Norwegian has not been ruled out of facing the champions, with optimism at the club that both players will recover swiftly.

The North London outfit's attacking options remain robust this season following summer signings of Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze.
