Paris St-Germain have agreed a deal in principle to sign Barcelona forward Ferran Torres for around €50 million (£42.7 million), the BBC reports.
The 26-year-old was given permission to miss training this week as he finalises his move, the British broadcaster said.
The Spain international scored 21 goals in 49 appearances in all competitions last season, providing three assists and helping Barcelona win the La Liga title.
His stock has risen considerably after he scored an extra-time winner against Argentina to help Spain claim their second men's World Cup this summer, the BBC reported.
PSG are managed by former Barcelona player and coach Luis Enrique and have won the Champions League in each of the past two seasons.
The Paris club could lose forward Bradley Barcola this summer, with Liverpool interested in the player.
If the transfer goes through, Torres will be the second high-profile forward PSG have signed this summer after Maghnes Akliouche joined from Monaco.
PSG added to their trophy haul on Wednesday by beating Aston Villa 2-1 to win the UEFA Super Cup.
Torres has been at Barcelona since 2022, having previously spent two years at Manchester City.
He has scored 25 goals in 65 appearances for Spain.
