UEFA is preparing to file a criminal complaint in Switzerland against FIFA President Gianni Infantino, alleging criminal mismanagement over the failed FIFA Forward Enterprise scheme, according to The Guardian.

European football’s governing body has submitted legal discovery applications in the United States -- utilising a Section 1782 order -- to secure documents linked to the project's inception.

The requested disclosures form part of broader steps toward targeted Swiss legal claims under Article 158 of the Swiss Criminal Code.

FIFA has been contacted for comment.
