Bangladesh football officials Tabith Awal, Mahfuza Akhter Kiron join FIFA committees

The Bangladesh Football Federation president has been nominated as a member of the FIFA Football Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation Committee

Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) President Tabith Awal and Women’s Wing Chairman Mahfuza Akhter Kiron have been named to two committees under FIFA, the governing body for international football.

Tabith was nominated for the Football Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation Committee, the BFF said in a statement on Wednesday.

Iceland’s Thorvaldur Orlygsson is the chairman of the committee, while Venezuela’s Jorge Gimenez is deputy chairman.

Representatives from Bahrain, Rwanda, Canada, Hong Kong, Russia, New Zealand, Malaysia, and Scotland are also on the committee.

Meanwhile, Kiron has been nominated to the FIFA Youth Girls’ Competition Committee.

Kiron has previously been a member of FIFA’s Executive Committee and its Standing Committees.
