Dhaka, April 8 (BDNEWS) – Jatiya Party (Ershad) has selected former lawmaker Lutfar Rahman Chowdhury as its candidate for the ensuing by-election to Gaibandha-4 constituency.
The parliamentary board of the party sat for a meeting at its office with chairman HM Ershad presiding Saturday and took up the decision for Lutfar who will vie with election symbol – plough.
Board members and party's senior leaders including Begum Rawshan Ershad, Kazi Jafar Ahmed, secretary general Ruhul Amin Hawlader and Kazi Firoz Rashid were present, a press release said.
