Dhaka, Nov 19 (bdnews24.com) – The government has reappointed cabinet secretary Ali Imam Majumder for another year on contract, an establishment ministry statement said Monday.
The government cancelled his one-year leave in preparation for his retirement, which was set to begin on Nov 29.
His reappointment takes effect from Nov 29, or from the same day in the year he initially joined his post—on Dec 6.
In addition to Majumder's role as cabinet secretary, he is currently working as principal secretary to the Chief Adviser's Office, a position he assumed on Oct 31, 2006.
The gazette, which lists all new governmental appointments, did not say whether he would continue his additional duty as principal secretary to the Chief Adviser's Office after his reappointment.
