The National Citizen Party has held a meeting with Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister A Berris Ekinci on topics including justice, reforms, and election preparations.

The meeting took place at the Turkish Embassy in Dhaka on Monday, where NCP Convenor Nahid Islam led a six-member NCP delegation.

The delegation included Alauddin Mohammad, Sultan Mohammad Zakaria, Monira Sharmin, Syeda Nilima Dola, and Atik Mujahid.

According to an NCP media statement, the meeting focused on discussions about ensuring free and fair elections, government preparations for reforms, particularly constitutional changes, and the broader political situation in Bangladesh.

The statement also highlighted discussions on the formation of a joint economic commission between Bangladesh and Turkey, bilateral cooperation, youth exchange, and the repatriation of the Rohingya population.

Nahid Islam thanked the minister for visiting Bangladesh and hoped for stronger bilateral ties.
