Jatiya Party’s Raushon, Anisul form alliance without GM Quader

This JaPa faction’s conference has been claimed to be the party’s “10th national conference”

Leaving aside the GM Quader faction of the Jatiya Party, Anisul Islam Mahmud and Md Mujibul Haque Chunnu have joined forces with the Raushon Ershad supporters, and the merged factions have formed a new committee.

At a conference on Saturday, Anisul was elected as the chairman of this faction, ABM Ruhul Amin Howlader as secretary general, Kazi Firoz Rashid as senior co-chairman, and Chunnu as executive chairman.

The conference of this JaPa faction has been claimed as the party's “10th national conference”, leaving aside the Quader faction.

The four members of the new committee were elected by the votes of about 3,000 councillors from all over the country.

On Jul 7, JaPa Chairman Quader dismissed 10 party leaders, including Anisul, Ruhul, and Chunnu.

Later, when the dismissed leaders approached the court, a temporary ban was imposed on Quader and Joint Secretary Mahmud Alam from conducting organisational activities on Jul 31.
