The Election Commission has declared the nominations of former state minister Lutfozzaman Babar and his wife Tahmina Zaman Sraboni valid.
The couple has now entered the election race for the Netrokona-4 constituency, which covers Mohanganj, Madan, and Khaliajuri.
Tahmina is running as an independent candidate, while Babar is vying for the seat on a BNP ticket.
Tahmina had previously contested in this constituency in 2018 and secured a significant number of votes.
At the same time, the nomination papers of BNP candidate Barrister Kaiser Kamal in the Netrokona-1 constituency, comprising Durgapur and Kalmakanda, has also been declared valid.

He said another five nominations had minor documentation issues, and the candidates were given time until 2pm on Sunday to submit the required papers.
In the Netrokona-3 constituency, the candidacies of BNP candidate and district committee general secretary Rafiqul Islam Hilali, and independent candidate and former district BNP vice-president Delwar Hossain Bhuiyan Dulal, have been declared valid.
