BNP leader Rizvi hospitalised with fever, breathing difficulties

BNP’s Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has been hospitalised with fever and breathing difficulties.

He was taken to the capital’s Square Hospital on Tuesday afternoon on medical advice, BNP Health Affairs Secretary Rafiqul Islam said.

“He had been suffering from a cold and fever for the past few days. On Monday, he travelled to Kurigram for party events. But his condition did not improve there,” he said.

Doctors have advised a series of medical tests and are expected to determine the next course of treatment once the results are available.

Rizvi is currently under medical supervision, while his family has asked supporters to pray for his recovery.

Family members have sought prayers from all for his speedy recovery.
