Zubaida Rahman, a cardiologist and the wife of BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman, has inaugurated a free heart health camp in the Korail slum area of Dhaka’s Mohakhali on Monday.

The health camp and medicine distribution programme at the Ansar Camp ground was organised by the Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB), the BNP-backed physicians’ body, marking the birth anniversary of late president Ziaur Rahman.

Local residents will receive free medicine and undergo physical check-ups at the camp, while specialist doctors will provide necessary medical services.

Zubaida spoke with several patients and listened to their health concerns.

BNP Chairman’s Advisory Council Members Abdus Salam and Prof Farhad Halim Donar, Ward 19 Commissioner Abdul Alim Naki, among other party leaders, were present at the event.

Later, Zubaida Rahman visited the Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) office, where she listened to different health complaints faced by women and offered medical advice.
