The National Citizen Party has announced that it will unveil the manifesto for a new Bangladesh on Sunday.

In a post to its verified Facebook account on Saturday, the party said: “Tomorrow, the manifesto for a new Bangladesh will be declared at the Central Shaheed Minar. We will see you there at this turning point in history.”

In a message to supporters, the NCP said it has completed its month-long “July March to Rebuild the Nation” campaign amid widespread interest and public participation.

Throughout July, the party visited numerous towns, villages, and cities across Bangladesh, speaking with workers, farmers, day labourers, homemakers, and people from all walks of life.

During these visits, NCP leaders pledged that they would share the insights gathered from the people and announce their promises for a new Bangladesh once the campaign ended.

Accordingly, the gathering at the Shaheed Minar on Aug 3, the same date and location where a one-point demand for the resignation of the Hasina government was announced a year earlier, will see NCP Convener Nahid Islam present the party's vision for a new Bangladesh.

According to the party, Nahid will share the thoughts and aspirations of citizens gleaned over the past month, along with the NCP’s commitments and vision for building a new Bangladesh.

He will also announce the next phase of action in support of implementing the July Proclamation and National Charter.

Calling for a nationwide gathering at the Shaheed Minar, the NCP said: “The 3rd of August is set to be a historic day for Bangladesh.”

It urged party leaders and activists from all 64 districts to attend the event.

Additionally, the party has instructed coordination committees at the district and Upazila levels to work closely with their regional supervisors to ensure the programme is conducted successfully.
