Jamaat-e-Islami secretary general visits Nur

He demands the attackers be brought to justice and calls for a speedy trial

Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar has visited Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur, who is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

The Jamaat leader enquired about Nur’s health and prayed for his speedy recovery.

A media statement from Jamaat-e-Islami stated that Golam said, “We hope that the chief advisor will implement the promise he has made to send Nur abroad for better treatment soon.

“We demand the arrest and trial of those behind the attack and urge the judicial probe committee to complete its investigation and submit a report promptly.”
