Ganatantra Mancha unveils list of 140 candidates for national election

The alliance also announces its plan to field candidates in all 300 constituencies for the 13th parliamentary election

The Ganatantra Mancha has announced its initial list of 140 candidates as part of its plan to field contenders in all 300 constituencies for the 13th parliamentary election.

The alliance’s coordinator and Rastro Songskar Andolan President Hasnat Kaiyum made the announcement at a briefing at the Dhaka Reporters Unity auditorium on Thursday.

Among the 140 candidates are several top leaders of the alliance’s six member parties including Nagorik Oikya Convenor Mahmudur Rahman Manna for Bogura-2, Revolutionary Workers Party General Secretary Saiful Haque for Dhaka-8, Ganosamhati Andolon Chief Coordinator Zonayed Saki for Brahmanbaria-6, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Vice President Tania Rob for Lakshmipur-4, JSD General Secretary Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan for Feni-3, Hasnat for Kishoreganj-5, Bhasani Janashakti Party Chairman Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu for Jamalpur-5.
