Mohsen Al Arishi spoke about how the readers in the Arab world felt amazed after knowing about the Bangladesh prime minister from his book where he provided the facts and dispelled the myths about her.

He spoke at an event to mark the unveiling of the Bangla version of his book ‘Hasina Hakaik Asatir’ (facts and myths about Hasina) at the National Museum in Dhaka on Thursday.

The readers told him that they did not know so much about Bangladesh’s independence and the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman before picking the book, Arishi said.

He described Hasina as a successful prime minister and leader, and pioneer to many countries for establishing women’s rights and economic development.

At the programme organised by ‘Satirtha-Swajan’ on the eve of Hasina’s birthday on Friday, another book titled ‘Timir Hananer Netri’, a compilation of articles on the prime minister, was also unwrapped.

Dhaka University’s Islamic studies department Prof Dr Mohammad Abdur Rashid translated Arishi’s book in association with teachers Qamrul Hasan and Abdullah Zubayer . The title of the translated version is ‘Sheikh Hasina: Upakhyan O Bastobota’.
