He celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr this year with his family and neighbours in his hometown of Narail.

Mashrafe, who is also well-known as the Narail Express, attended the Eid prayer at Narail’s central Eidgah Maidan in the early hours of Saturday.
Wearing a traditional white Punjabi, he attended the prayer service with members of his family,  including his younger brother Caesar and maternal uncle Nahidul Islam.
At the end of the Eid congregation, Mashrafe took part in a prayer service for the well-being of the nation led by Narail Central Jamme Mosque Imam MM Shafiullah.
He did not wish to remark on his rumoured run for office in Narail, which was recently hinted at by Planning Minister Mustafa Kamal.
