At least 12 newborns were rescued from the baby care centre in Delhi's Vivek Vihar area, but seven died while receiving treatment at the hospital

At least seven newborns have died after a massive fire broke out at a children's hospital in the Indian capital of New Delhi on Saturday, NDTV reports.
The Delhi Fire Services said it received a call about a fire at 11:32 pm at a baby care centre in the Vivek Vihar area in East Delhi. As many as 16 firefighters rushed to the site.
At least 12 newborns were rescued from the first floor of the building but seven died while receiving treatment at the hospital, officials said.
The remaining five are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The authorities have yet to ascertain the cause of the fire. A case has been filed against the owner of the hospital.
In a separate incident, at least three people died after a fire broke out at a residential building in Delhi's Krishna Nagar early on Sunday.
The Delhi Fire Services were informed about the fire at 2:35 am and the fire was brought under control by 7:20 am, said Atul Garg, chief of Delhi Fire Services.
"A total of 13 people were rescued, but three were declared dead," he said.
Earlier on Saturday, twenty-seven people, including nine children, died in a massive fire that broke out at a gaming zone in Gujarat's Rajkot.
