The advisors of the interim government will cast their ballots in the upcoming 13th parliamentary election and referendum at certain designated polling centres on Thursday.
Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus will cast his vote at the Gulshan Model High School and College centre. He is likely to reach there around 10am.
Finance Advisor Salehuddin Ahmed will also cast his vote at the Gulshan Model High School and College centre at 12:00pm on election day.
Siraj-Ud-Doula Khan, public relations officer at the Ministry of Finance shared the information.
According to the state news agency, Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Advisor Asif Nazrul will vote at the Udayan High School and College centre near Dhaka University.
Education Advisor CR Abrar will cast his ballot at the University Laboratory School centre in the Dhaka University area.
Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, advisor to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, will also vote at the Gulshan Model School and College centre in Gulshan-2.
Commerce Advisor Sheikh Bashir Uddin will cast his vote at a centre in Dhanmondi, while Social Welfare Advisor Sharmeen S Murshid will vote at a centre in Mirpur-12’s Block E.
Fisheries and Livestock Advisor Farida Akhter will cast her vote at a centre near Shyamoli Shishu Mela.
Shipping Advisor M Sakhawat Hossain will vote at a school centre in the DOHS area of Mohakhali.
Land Advisor Ali Imam Majumder will cast his ballot at the Uttara Sector-10 Government Primary School centre.
Disaster Management Advisor Faruk E Azam will vote at his local polling centre in Chattogram’s Mehedibag.
The 13th parliamentary election and referendum will be held on Thursday.
Polls will open simultaneously in 299 parliamentary constituencies across the country from 7:30am to 4:30pm using ballot papers and transparent ballot boxes. Polls in one constituency have been postponed due to the death of a candidate.
