Irregularity allegations: 11-party alliance calls for polls to be suspended in 3 seats

Irregularities have occurred in Cumilla-8, Shariatpur-2, and Patuakhali-1, the Jamaat-led alliance claims

The Jamaat-e-Islami-led 11-party alliance has called for the Election Commission (EC) to suspend voting in the Cumilla-8, Shariatpur-2, and Patuakhali-1 constituencies over allegations of irregularities surrounding the 13th national election and referendum vote.

A delegation from the alliance presented the demands to Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin at the EC headquarters on Thursday afternoon.
