AL programme triggers security surge in Dhaka

Law-enforcing agencies have strengthened security across the capital ahead of the Awami League’s “Dhaka Lockdown” programme scheduled for Thursday, Nov 13, 2025. On Wednesday, Nov 12, 2025, police and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were seen deployed at key points, intersections and important establishments across the city.
