Injured tigress returns to Sundarbans after recovery
A tigress caught in a leaf trap by deer poachers in the Sundarbans has been released in the forest area adjacent to the Andharmanik Eco-Tourism Center of the Sundarbans East Forest Department on Sunday after making a complete recovery. The tigress was trapped in the forest area adjacent to the Sharkir Canal on Jan 3. On Jan 4, she was rendered unconscious using a tranquiliser gun and taken to the rehabilitation center of the Wildlife Management and Nature Conservation Division in Khulna for treatment.
