Household waste is being brought in by vans and dumped everyday on Dhaka’s Pragati Sarani, occupying half the road. Later, workers of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) transfer it to trucks bound for other depots or landfills. Commuters in the Baridhara section of Pragati Sarani pass the spot every day, covering their noses from the stench.
