On the 50th anniversary of the assassination of independence leader Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family, security forces stand guard outside the Awami League’s central office in Gulistan on Friday. Bamboo barricades and benches block one side of the road, and those approaching are turned away.
