Swift verdict in Ramisa case

A Dhaka tribunal on Sunday sentenced a couple to death for the rape and murder of 8-year-old Ramisa Akter in Pallabi, bringing one of the country's most closely watched cases to a conclusion in just five working days. The ruling, delivered by Judge Masrur Salekin of the Dhaka Metropolitan Child Violence Prevention Tribunal, marks the fastest disposal of a rape-murder case in Bangladesh's judicial history.
