Scorching heat over the past few days and rising demand from dengue patients have sent coconut water sales soaring in Dhaka. Large consignments of coconuts are also arriving by river from the country’s southern districts at Sadarghat Launch Terminal and nearby places. Retailers buy them from Sadarghat’s wholesale markets and distribute them across the capital.
