A technical fault at a floating LNG terminal in Cox’s Bazar’s Moheshkhali has reduced gas supply to the national grid by around 450 million cubic feet a day, causing an acute gas shortage in Dhaka. The disruption has hit CNG filling stations particularly hard, with motorists waiting for hours for fuel. Some stations have suspended sales after running out of gas.
