Garbage piles up in Mirpur, stinking up the area

Pedestrians have held their noses on the way from Mazar Road to the embankment in Dhaka's Mirpur for a long time. The wide road has turned into a garbage dump for the fruit warehouse in the area. Not only has the waste narrowed the road, it also emits a foul stench that clogs the air. Though a waste disposal site for the city corporation is nearby, the warehouse owners just dump their garbage on the road.
