Crocodile removed from Khan Jahan Ali shrine pond

The lone female crocodile living in the pond of Sufi saint Hazrat Khan Jahan Ali's shrine in Bagerhat has been relocated. On Wednesday, Jun 3, 2026, Forest Department officials captured the crocodile from the water and transported it to the Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Centre in Khulna.
