Govt hospitals to offer free NS-1 dengue tests across the country

The free diagnoses will be carried out until Nov 30

The health ministry has decided to provide free NS-1 tests for dengue detection at all government hospitals across the country until Nov 30.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) has been instructed to take necessary steps against the Aedes mosquito-borne disease.

According to the directive, the Finance Division has approved free NS-1 testing for registered patients at emergency, inpatient, and outpatient departments of all government hospitals, based on physicians’ recommendations, until Nov 30.

This year, 57,770 dengue patients have been hospitalised, and 243 deaths have been reported.
