Health Minister Sakhawat announces 10-bed dialysis unit in every Upazila

All 50-bed hospitals in the country will be upgraded to 100 beds within the next six months, he says

Health Minister Sardar Sakhawat Husain has announced the launch of a 10-bed dialysis unit in every Upazila health complexes across Bangladesh to facilitate medical services for kidney patients.

Addressing an event in Narsingdi on Friday afternoon, he said all 50-bed hospitals in the country will be upgraded to 100 beds within the next six months.

“Ten-bed dialysis units will be launched in all Upazila hospitals so kidney patients no longer have to go to Dhaka for treatment,” he said.
