Bangladesh has recorded four more deaths linked to measles-like symptoms over the past 24 hours.
Since Mar 15, a total of 784 people have died from confirmed measles or symptoms associated with the viral disease, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
In its daily bulletin, the health directorate said 74 more people were confirmed to have measles during the 24 hours until 8am on Saturday.
Of the total deaths, 95 were confirmed cases while most of the overall toll involved children.
The latest cases were confirmed after 699 people went to hospitals with measles symptoms. Of them, 649 were admitted.
Dhaka Division registered the highest hospitalisations at 232, followed by 144 in Chattogram, 115 in Barishal, 66 in Sylhet, 22 in Mymensingh, 38 in Khulna, 21 in Rajshahi and 11 in Rangpur.
The cumulative number of hospitalisations has reached 99,249, of whom 95,529 have been discharged.
Bangladesh has so far recorded 116,710 suspected measles cases and 14,318 confirmed infections.
