The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka has yet again extended the deadline for students to fill in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination forms.

Many private examinees have yet to fill in their forms despite the previous extensions, forcing the board to take the decision, Secretary Prof SM Kamal Uddin Hyder said on Monday.

Students were first allowed to complete the forms with the regular fee from Mar 1 to 9. The deadline was extended a second time until Mar 18 with a Tk 100 late fee.

According to the latest decision, candidates will have the opportunity to fill in the forms on Jun 15 and 16 with the same fine.

Previously, the deadline saw a further extension until Mar 31, followed by the next one from Apr 23 to 28.

The maximum fee for the examination was set at Tk 2,995. Students of the science stream were told to pay the amount.

Candidates from the humanities and business education streams will be charged Tk 2,435.

This year's HSC and equivalent examinations will start on Jul 2. The written tests will continue until Aug 8. The practical examination will be conducted by Aug 15.
