Md Sabur Khan, the founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University (DIU), has participated in the ACE 2026 Annual Conference held in Washington, DC.
The event, hosted at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, brought together prominent university leaders and policymakers from across the globe to discuss the future of higher education, DIU said in a media statement.
During the conference, Khan served as a panel discussant alongside Fernando León-García, board chair of the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP), and Fanta Aw, CEO of NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
The panel focused on global higher education leadership, cross-border partnerships, and the evolving role of universities in fostering innovation.
The session explored strategies for strengthening internationalisation, student mobility, and institutional resilience in an increasingly complex global landscape.
In addition to the panel session, Khan attended the IAUP Board Meeting in his capacity as the Treasurer-Elect of the association.
His involvement in the board meeting reinforces Bangladesh’s growing influence in global higher education governance, the statement added.
DIU noted that Khan’s participation reflects the university’s commitment to academic diplomacy and its leadership role in international higher education collaboration.
